Day 3 - No poo
Apr. 13th, 2013 12:29 pmI washed with the baking soda and vinegar 3 days ago. Lately with shampoo, the second day my hair would be an oil fest and I hated it. This time, it's still not that oily and the length of it looks way better and healthier. Shinier. We'll see how this progresses. There's supposed to be a detox phase in which your hair reacts with overproduction of oil. Oh and the ends aren't so dry and splitty.
Doing it. Going No Poo
Apr. 11th, 2013 12:53 amI tend to be a shampoo hog. Well, not shampoo so much as conditioner. After my ex left, I also became chemically sensitive to EVERYTHING known to man. I found great shampoos I loved, awesome smelling ones, but my skin is breaking out in rashes. I no longer use soaps for the most part, expect for my hands. Unfortunately, washing my hair, the water runs down my body. I'm tired of dealing with misery and trying to narrow all of this down to what is causing it. I also tend to wash my hair every few days and then it does the oily dance. Lately, it's just too dry and dull at the ends and too dull and oily at the top within a day or so.
So I'm taking the plunge. I have several photos of "before" no poo. I washed my hair earlier in just baking soda ratio and a follow up with apple cider vinegar diluted with water. I also have apple juice on hand just in case. I know there are likely to be a few weeks of icky hair while it goes toward a natural state, but I guess I'll wear a lot of ponytails. I've tried so many 'poos that I just can't feel great while I keep doing this to my hair and body.

Jul. 11th, 2010 02:56 am[Unknown site tag] I have odd dreams if I'm very hot. New England has been hella hot lately. I was cool last night so closed the bedroom door locking us in with a fan. I also crashed near 2am. I was falling asleep playing Everquest 2.

a sewing machine. I've heard urges before, but I'm tired of my clothing being too small, too tight, sleeves too short, things fitting weird and just overall, the way hoodies fit (I love hoodies) is very unflattering. I want to reconstruct and change my clothing.

My husband found a chewed DeVry ink pen on the floor this morning, but of course didn't catch either one in the act so wasn't sure who did it. Later, he was playing with Yin and noticed.....there's a sure fire way to tell the guilty party here.

Knit a Square
I'm debating doing this, though I'm still slightly lost about the kind of yarn they want and I do not use wool. Ever. I'm sensitive to it so won't even touch it.
Does anyone know if there's a charity like this for people in the US? Like knitting blankets for children right here that might go to homeless shelters, women's shelters and the like?

The Biggest Loser
Dec. 14th, 2008 05:50 pmIt's a favorite in this household. We've watched this season from the start. It's come down to four people, with America voting for who is to be the third finalist and have a chance to win. Only one woman in that group deserves to win. She has heart, is an amazing person, and someone that America should be proud of for the strength she's gained, the relationship with her mother that she's regained, and the weight she's lost. But mostly that she'll come out of this -healthy- on every level.
There are three others that really just don't deserve it. Pretty on the outside isn't pretty on the inside. These two women are hateful, vicious barracudas who don't deserve anything extra. It's time to see the alliance between the three (two hatefuls and one husband to one of them) broken and the right way. The husband seems to have thrown the contest the last time, gaining two pounds to try to give his wife whatever she wants. In this competition, Heba could crush Michelle, the girl who deserves it.
So, if you're bored and don't mind, I haven't gotten any texts or emails yet from voting, but if you vote in time to keep Ed on the game, Michelle has a chance.

Heba needs to go. She has the worst personality and Vicki isn't much better. The two women...blah. Grandmother always told me about beauty on the inside.

I'm debating changing the price though, but not sure yet what to set it for :/
I plan to offer various other coloring pages in the future, but this is one I plan to paint and all that in the next week or so. IE, I'm back! First painting in awhile.
BTW: Shipping issues fixed as I found a place not even maybe two minutes away.

The ones I currently have are ACEO size (3.5 x 2.5 inches) and are press laminated, decorated with ribbons, yarn and beads. I'm working toward getting a heat lamination device in a couple weeks.
